Shopping, Delivery, Returns & Exchanges

OPIKA is as a belt designer that takes you beyond the luxurious - beautifully crafted collections that defy classification. OPIKA works with skilled crafts people using the finest materials to ensure that when you buy from OPIKA you will be getting something extraordinary.

Making a purchase is easy. Just follow these simple steps:

  • Shop by browsing through our Site.
  • Click on the image to access the individual item's product page where you will be given information on sizing, colour options and availability.
  • Add merchandise to your shopping bag by clicking on the 'Please add to my shopping bag' button near the desired item.
  • Review the items you have chosen in your shopping bag. To delete an item from your shopping bag, click on the 'Remove item' button next to the item.
  • Resume shopping after viewing your shopping bag: click the 'Continue browsing' button. Please be aware that when the item is in your shopping bag another customer can still purchase it.
  • Proceed to purchase to finalise your purchases and follow the instructions.
  • All orders will be paid for in GB Pound Sterling.

SIZING INFORMATION

Whilst Opika does its best to ensure that measurements are accurate and consistent all our products are hand made and there will always be room for a margin of discrepancy. Please refer to our Size & Fit Chart to help you select the correct size (make sure you know where you wish to wear your belt perhaps by measuring a belt you already have). All belt measurements refer to the measurement of the belt when it is fastened on its middle hole.

Your account

Although it's not essential to have an account to shop at OPIKA, registering your details will allow you to:

  • Track your order and review past purchases
  • Build a personal wish list
  • Reserve items and join waiting lists
  • Shop without entering your address details
  • Manage your address book and email settings

To create an account, simply click on 'Sign in' and fill in the required fields.

Forgotten passwords:

If you have forgotten your password, click here to change it or follow the 'FORGOTTEN PASSWORD' instructions on the SIGN IN page. For security reasons we are unable to send your password via email.

DELIVERY OF UK ORDERS

If you place your order online or over the telephone, your order will arrive by Royal Mail Special Delivery, FedEx or UPS within 5 working days. We will always select the most appropriate carrier. We endeavour to dispatch all orders as soon as possible subject to product availability and clearance of payment.

Remember that delivery to addresses within the UK is free.

Parcels will need to be signed for in person. In the event that no one is available to receive a Special Delivery item, a card will be left providing you with the option to have the item delivered at a later date or to collect your parcel from your local collection depot.

DELIVERY OF INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Delivery to most overseas addresses costs £15.00 (please see below for the list of countries OPIKA can ship to). Overseas deliveries are sent via Royal Mail AirSure and will arrive within 5-10 working days in Europe and the US, or within 5-15 working days for the rest of the world; please call us on +44 (0) 1943 865516 or email info@opika.co.uk if you require more information.

We will use Royal Mail AirSure for deliveries to the following destinations:

EUROPE: Andorra, Austria, Azores, Balearic Islands, Belgium, Canary Islands, Corsica, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Madeira, Monaco, Netherlands, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

WORLD ZONES: Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand and USA

Deliveries to other destinations may need to be sent via FedEx. Please call us on tel: 0845 8711068 (within the UK) or tel: + 44 1943 865516 (from overseas) or through the Contact Us page to discuss your individual requirements, and we will advise you of the specific shipping cost and delivery time required.


Please also note that any duty and taxes incurred in the country of destination are the responsibility of the customer.

RETURNS & EXCHANGE INFORMATION

If the goods you receive are not to your satisfaction you may return or exchange them, and we will refund or send you an alternative piece. OPIKA wishes to guarantee the complete satisfaction of the Customer. OPIKA will refund the entire cost of the item(s) that are returned by the Customer not worn, not used and not damaged and accompanied by the relevant Returns Authorisation (RA) number (see below).

RETURNS POLICY

If you cancel before the despatch of any goods your money will be refunded and the goods will not be delivered.

We will offer a refund or exchange on an unworn, undamaged item within 14 days of it being received by you. Refunds will be made to the credit or debit card used to purchase the item(s) in accordance with these terms and conditions.

If you return an item to us because it is faulty, we will include with your refund the postage that you were charged when purchasing the item, and the postage you paid when returning the item to us (this does not affect your statutory rights).

If you are returning an item because it is unsuitable, we shall only refund the cost of the returned item, and you will be fully liable for the postage paid when returning the item to us and when purchasing the item.

All refunds and exchanges must be arranged through this website and you must not return the goods purchased online to any of our stockists.

OPIKA is dedicated to offering the highest levels of quality and service. Before returning any product, you must obtain a Return Authorisation (RA) number. You can obtain an RA number by emailing your request to: returns@ opika.co.uk Please indicate in your email the reason why the goods are being returned. All returned goods must be accompanied by a delivery note (this comes with the delivery of your goods), with completed details on the reverse.

Making a return or exchange is easy and is free within the UK:

1. Request a Returns Authorisation (RA) number within 7 days of receiving your order by emailing: retuns@opika.co.uk and indicating the reason why the goods are being returned or exchanged.

2. Complete your returns form on the back of your Delivery Note with your RA number and sign it.

3. Please return all goods to be returned within 14 days of receiving your RA number.

4. You will be notified by email once your return has been received and processed.

All items being returned in accordance with this clause must be safely and securely packaged and in its original packaging (including any tags, dust bags or other materials) to avoid damage in transit. We shall not accept an item for refund if it has been damaged in transit or otherwise.

All returns from any particular order must to be returned to us in one shipment. Any subsequent returns from the same order may incur additional shipping charges to you.

We strongly recommend when returning items to us you use Royal Mail Special Delivery, as we are unable to refund items that are lost in the post. All goods shall remain your responsibility until we receive them.

We request that all goods are returned within 14 days of issuing your RA number. Please note that you are not able to return items that have been worn. Returns received outside the above time frames are accepted at the discretion of OPIKA and can only be exchanged for a credit on other items from the site.

OPIKA will not accept returns for any items that have been worn or damaged in anyway. We will not take responsibility for items damaged during transit. Upon receipt of an order, if any item has been damaged, customers should notify us (by phone or email) on the same day if they wish to return it.

In the event of any failure to return any goods to us within the stipulated time limits, we shall have the right to charge any costs of recovery of the goods.

Please be aware that international customs duties and sales taxes are NOT refunded for shipments outside the European Community (EU).

The refunds will be issued in the same form that was used for payment.

RETURNING FAULTY GOODS

If an item purchased from OPIKA shows a fault you must obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number by emailing us at: returns@opika.co.uk and follow the standard returns process as detailed above.
Faulty items will only be accepted if the goods are delivered to the customer damaged or there is a subsequent manufacturing fault within a period of 6 months after delivery. All items returned as faulty will be inspected and any items deemed to be damaged as a result of fair wear and tear will not be accepted as faulty.

OPIKA strives to produce high quality products and will do its best to help with any damage caused. Where possible, items may be repaired on request but only where such items are deemed faulty and repairable. Repairs do not come with any guarantees.
It may be possible for us to repair items that have suffered wear and tear. There will be a charge for this service to cover the cost of shipping and any other costs incurred.

REFUNDS AND CREDITS

Refunds to you will be made within 30 days of the date of cancellation notice.
All undamaged, correctly returned products will be credited to the original purchaser's credit card including sales taxes for all EU country shipments excluding shipping charges.


As previously stated, international customs duties and sales taxes are non-refundable for shipments outside the European Community (EU).


Once the refund has been completed OPIKA will send a confirmation e-mail. Alternatively, you can request an OPIKA credit to be used against future purchases at http://www.opika.co.uk/. Once issued, credit notes are valid for 12 months.

EXCHANGE INFORMATION

If you would like to exchange your purchase for an alternative item please let us know by emailing us at: returns@opika.co.uk or contact us by phone for advice on a more suitable item on tel: 0845 8711068 (within the UK) or tel: + 44 1943 865516 (from overseas) and we will be pleased to help you.


Alternatively, to secure your chosen exchange you can make your purchase by phone or online and we will refund your original item when it is returned to us.

Exchange items can only be dispatched after the returned goods have been received and undergone a quality control check.

Exchanges received outside of the above stated timescales (14 days) are also subject to product availability and the customer will incur any shipping costs for such exchanges. Any further returns of exchanged items outside the stated timescales (14 days) will again be at the customers cost for shipping and refunded only as a credit against other items.

You will be charged for any difference in cost and any additional shipping, taxes and import duties.

GIFT RETURNS

If you have received an item from OPIKA as a gift you can return it for an exchange or a credit note within the parameters outlined in this Returns Policy. Please call us on tel: 0845 8711068 (within the UK) or tel: + 44 1943 865516 (from overseas) and we will be pleased to help you.

INSURANCE

OPIKA insures each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to you at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes to you. If an order exceeds a certain value it may be split and sent in separate packages. You will only incur one delivery charge if this is applicable (free delivery within the UK only).

If your box is damaged upon arrival, we recommend that you either refuse delivery or make a note when signing for it that you are accepting a damaged box and contact OPIKA immediately: sales@opika.co.uk or by calling on tel: 0845 8711068 (within the UK) or tel: + 44 1943 865516 (from overseas).

TAXES & DUTIES

Taxes are calculated according to your shipping destination. UK VAT will be applied to all orders within the UK and the EU excluding the Channel Islands. Most countries are shipped to on a DDP (Delivery Duty PAID) basis, which means that all relevant import taxes and duties will be included in the product price.

If a DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) destination is selected, product prices displayed are exclusive of all taxes and duties, as well as UK VAT. As the recipient, you are liable for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you are shipping to; payment of these is necessary to release your order from customs on arrival. As we are unable to advise the amount this may be, we will always seek your confirmation by email prior to dispatching a DDU order. Please look out for this email to ensure timely dispatch of your order.
