News : We LOVE Paris

Before catching our flight back home from Paris we headed to the Palais Royal for a last spot of window shopping. The shops here are exquisite; little gems in a beautiful city. The highlight was Serge Lutens ‘House of Perfume’ (www.salons-shiseido.com ) where, coming in from the below zero temperatures outside we received a wonderful welcome and were offered a glass of the most divine tea I have ever tasted (see Mariage Frères www.mariagefreres.com). We were taken through the perfume collections - my personal favourite being the Ambre Sultan - and given a collection of samples to take home. I have never met a more engaging sales person and we walked out of there feeling like we had been in the most delightful dream. Oh well, back to reality.
